Yea! Thanks for considering a rescued pit bull for your next family member. The adoption policy for adopting a Bully Breed from CAHS includes the following:
- Be at least 21 years old (We may make exceptions for stellar potential adopters)
- Be local to central Ohio (We ask that the whole household meets the dog before a dog can go home)
- Please own your own home or have prior landlord approval
- Learn about Ohio laws and other ordinances as they pertain to pit bulls, including how to insure your pit bull
- Agree to a home visit prior to and after the adoption
- Attend pit bull education classes at CAHS with shelter graduates, fosters and other pit bull lovers in the community (free to CAHS Bully Breed alumni)
- Pay a $100 adoption donation fee that includes: spay/neuter surgery, micro-chip, all current vaccinations, heartworm preventative, training classes especially for your bully breed to help your pet be a great family member.
- Sign a legally binding adoption contract
